It took me a while to get on board with this cover, partly because of my devotion to The Shirelles and Carol King and in part because my reaction to the news of Amy Winehouse’s death was to get angry with her for wasting her talent. Eventually, I realized how dumb I was being. This song rules. I’m sorry, Amy, and I’m not mad anymore.
